Just as I suspected...Cassie’s schedule got the best of her, so attention to the blog and all contact for that matter, has gone down the drain. I have been promised a personal blog for YEARS...empty promises. So, I am hijacking this blog for now...
If you know Cassie... you know me...I am Rogue.
And for clarification purposes...I am NOT named after X-men.
I am pretty much the most amazing K-9 (I despise the word ‘dog’) you have ever known...at least that’s what Cassie tells me, and since I’ve adopted Ben’s “self-inflated” perception, I would believe no less. Thus the reason for me needing a personal blog...seeing the world through eyes must be refreshing to all of the mediocre in the world.
As the majority of you know, I spent the first 2 years of my life working at Shuven Shnaven (the real identity has been kept confidential for legal purposes but just say it out loud a couples times and the answer will come to you)...and might I say, I was dang good at my job. Sadly the “Unfortunate Event” ripped me out of Shuven Shnaven and I was unable to continue my work. I could not begin to recount the feelings I have about that event...so much anger and sadness. Let’s just say I wouldn’t go back even if they begged me to come back...I tend to be somewhat of a grudge holder. And to me, that grudge is in no way necessary to let go of any time soon. Anyway...
By necessity, my life took a rather incomprehensible course...(I’ve since been able to work through a lot of the anger I had since that dreadful month of March) and I had what I like to refer to as “The Bomb” dropped into my lap. To even begin to understand the what my life encompasses now in the Brown Household, will attempt to draw you a picture of this bomb named Zoe.
If it was possible for THEM to find the most opposite K-9 on the face of this earth...of course they could...don’t get me wrong! She is sweet and has a very good heart...but her brain may not be working at full capacity. She has no respect for other’s personal space and is constantly invading mine or any human’s so to sit her awkward behind directly thereon. I also don’t remember a time that her tongue wasn’t outside her mouth and actively licking someone or something. I also don’t remember a time that she voluntarily relaxed...her relaxing looks like her collapsing into a pile on the floor due to sheer exhaustion. Her own physical safety hold no concern to her...I flinch EVERY time I hear a bang (9 times out of 10) it is her head ramming into the wall. That is possibly compounding her extremely spastic measures...regardless...she feels no pain....WAIT...I’M WRONG! There was a time I saw her show pain...let me recount:
She has an unnatural fascination with racing Ben on his bike...and vice versa...now, I have LONG since come to the realization with the fact that Ben “racing” us as the park is just his evil scheme to quickly tire us out so to spend the least amount of time at the park as possible...I digress...OK, back on topic. She was running at 19 mph with her eyes locked on Ben...heaven forbid she look in front of her... with her neck at a 90 degree angle. If she would have taken a split second to glance ahead for even the quickest second...she would have realized there was a small tree (although she still does not recall the tree as small) I guess when a 25 pound dog hits a tree that is 5 inches across at best... at the speed of 19mph, it feels like a train hitting a brick wall. I was sure she would emerge a Pug, since I witnessed her tail and her head become one for a split-second. She crumpled to the ground and very slowly attempted to get up...and when she walked...she Limped!! It sounds horrible but that was when I realized that she was capable of feeling pain, up until that point I really did wonder if she was a mutant or not. Plus, it’s not that horrible once you hear that within 5 minutes, she was sprinting at that same 19mph speed with her head turned at the EXACT same angle as before. Not the smartest cookie around, but I don’t need someone competing with my cookies...I needed someone that is happy no matter what...and she wins the gold in that.
And for today...I’ll leave it at that...Rogue out
